A hugely popular figure among Rangers supporters, Scott Arfield spent five memorable seasons at Ibrox between 2018 and 2023, becoming known for his tireless work rate, knack for arriving in the box at exactly the right moment and, of course, his iconic salute celebration.

Arfield played a key role in one of the most significant periods in Rangers' recent history. He was part of Steven Gerrard's side that delivered the club's historic 55th league title in 2020/21, completing an unbeaten Premiership campaign and bringing the Scottish title back to Ibrox.

The following season brought another unforgettable European adventure as Arfield helped Rangers reach the 2022 UEFA Europa League Final in Seville, following a remarkable run that saw the Light Blues overcome the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Red Star Belgrade, Braga and RB Leipzig.

Just days after the dramatic Europa League quarter-final victory over Braga, Arfield produced one of his most memorable Old Firm moments. Coming off the bench in the Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic at Hampden, he fired Rangers level before the Light Blues went on to win 2–1 after extra time. Rangers subsequently defeated Hearts in the final to lift the Scottish Cup.

Born in Scotland but eligible for Canada through his father, Arfield also enjoyed a distinguished international career with the Canadian national team. He made 19 appearances for Canada and had the honour of captaining his country on five occasions.
